Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
If they are all in the office where H.K. died and no one is allowed to leave, AND as Piston says, he took off his coat and then was shown into the office, shouldn’t that coat rack be in a different room?
To the authors if this Minit Mystery, if we the readers solve this case…can yawl put a moratorium on the Minit Mystery thing? The way it was inserted reminds me of a channel scanned onto my television set, Charge-TV. One is into what they show and then wham bam get hit with a commercial or two. I wrote them about it and said they need to give a viewer forewarning lest these ads be mistaken for part of what they air. I notice it mostly with: CHIPS, C.S.I. Miami, Magnum P.I. and Hunter.
For those who may be wondering, Piston Puss is not part of the official canon of the strip. He made only one appearance prior to this and that was in the Autolite advertisement that Ray Toler posted yesterday.
I notice that for the last couple of days I seem to have been addicted to misspelling “Minit Mystery” as “Minut….” (Haven’t Deleted and Re-posted because I did not want to eliminate any Comments or Likes.)
Maybe because I subconsciously thought that a rerun of a short tale would only be a tiny mystery?

Reading this for the first time. Now, why do I get the feeling that whoever’s coat is the first one on the coat peg is the killer.

Oh yeah… now I remember this one. It’s the uncredited Encyclopedia Brown crossover series. Piston Puss is playing the Bugs Meany role.

Why let 4 people in at the same time when they all had different reasons for being there? So the butler did it

Hang up your hat and coat and stay awhile, Tracy.

Hmmm, Tracy’s face seems strangely smaller today?
tcayer about 3 years ago
If he was already dead when they all entered the room, then it was probably the butler.

Alright, everyone is feeling down about this rerun of a bad Minute Mystery. Let me give you something to lift your spirits. MUSIC!
McGruff the Crime Dog released an album in 1986. It has 11 songs, and I am thinking of posting 2 songs a day for the next 6 days.
Song #1 is just a one-minute intro, “Winners Don’t Use.” McGruff was lucky to get the Smart Kids to sing back-up instead of the Dumb Kids.
https://youtu.be/9prThGBSfSw
Song #2 “No, No, No!”, has a great drumbeat.

Tomorrow I’ll do Marijuana and Inhalants. I mean the songs, not the drugs.

Itchy wouldn’t give him food cuz he was no good
But Dick T.lives on.
They burned down his house twice and killed all the mice
But Dick T.lives on.
The wrist gadget overloaded and then it exploded
And some dumb crook is missing an arm
They keep ruining his hats with their off-center gats
But Dick T. lives on.
Sung to “And The Band Played On”.

NCIS has decided to stop investigating the deaths of Petty Officers.
So many of them have died over the years that it will hereafter be attributed to genetic clumsiness.

I have just designed the scenery for a production of The Virginian at a theatre in Chicago. The production opened Sunday, the day before yesterday.
The first review came out today and the review was extremely positive for the show and was Recommended by the critic from aroundthetownchicago.com
After praising the actor who plays The Virginian, the critic had this to say:
“In addition to the fine acting, another highlight of the show is the artwork. Ray Toler’s sets are well-designed…”
Not bad for the first review out of the box, eh?
