I don’t like these old cartoons. I liked them at the time, but not now.

Lulu, just cut off one of the hearts on a corner and give it to Gunny. The heart might be a bit forward, tho.

Friendship and sexual attraction don’t always walk the same tightrope. And it’s sometimes hard to give somebody the right message without giving them the wrong message.

Luann, gunther thinks the world of you or at least he used to. he got tired of you treating him like an afterthought. So he’s with a woman who treats him…. like…..nvm.

I have never given one of my pals a valentine as big as that. Come to think of it, I never give my pals a valentine. Maybe a nice, cold beer. Might even open it for them.

Thinking back to 2001, I don’t think Luann wore her hair like that.

“Old” Brad was rarely right. This is one of those times he was.

Maybe this retro stuff is leading up to something really big, to be revealed on Sunday.

I hate licking envelopes.

Tastes awful, and there’s always that risk of a paper cut on the tongue (OUCH!!).

AWW!!! The hearts were a nice touch to the card.

But she is cutting down the size of the card after her brother’s comment, which was prescient not stupid.

Brad sure looked like a doughy, bean-headed schlub back then, didn’t he? I suppose they had to change him from being a toon, like Puddles, to a real person to make him worthy to be a firefighter and Toni’s husband.

Tomorrow they’ll reveal who shot JR.

Does Brad look this dorky when he starts firefighting school or does his transformation begin before he meets Toni. It is hard to believe Toni would give him a second look if he was this dorky when they first met.

Luann is cutting off the top of the flower and some of the words on the second page of her card. Not going to make much sense.

Men tend to be visually oriented. A larger card is interpreted accordingly.

I feel pretty prescient today. If anyone wants to know what happens in the strip later in the week, I will let them know with a high degree of certainty.
