It’s always a bit weird when we hear these halves of a conversation, to imagine what the other half must be:

Bernie: I received an anonymous e-mail announcement from someone with atrocious spelling.

Mike: What’s that? You say you received an anonymous e-mail announcement from someone with atrocious spelling?

Who repeats the other person’s dialogue like that?

I’m really good at confusing spellcheck. It will finally give up and ask, “What the heck are you trying to say?”

And that’s what you get, when you defeat the spell checker.

My spelling’s not bad, but, my typing skills are on a par with a Harbor Seal.

Cats don’t stay in bags for very long if you have kids or grandparents in the house.

She’s so happy about it that she can’t possibly think they’d want to keep it a secret.

Evidently, Mike is no King Saul, as Mike never taught loyalty to his kid.

Does Alex as an adult use social media a lot? As a child she had propensity for sharing information online long before social media was developed.

Sounds like me. In high school, on standardized tests, I scored in percentiles 99 in science, but 20 in spelling.

I was a couple grade levels ahead in reading, but horrible in spelling. I hated spelling bees as I was Always the 1st one in the class out. They thought since I didn’t have phonics, that was the reason – so in 6th grade, sent me back to 1st grade teacher for phonic tutoring (that didn’t go well). By the time I got to high school & college, I spelled fine.

Unfortunately, in this day and age I see many college educated people misspell words
