Social exhaustion. Suddenly I’m enlightened… and slightly less exhausted!

If Phoebe asked Dakota or that lunatic girl from camp (whose name escapes me), what would be their excuses? Dakota’s would probably be too busy to make herself a YouTube-ish vlog.

I understand the social exhaustion calm down thing!

After reading that, I’m exhausted!

I really admire Max’s honesty.

As a guy living on the autistic spectrum, I really appreciate how well Dana writes Max. she must know somebody on the spectrum.

So many words have changed their true meaning.

do you think that Marigold has walked off the production in an attempt to leverage a better paycheck, and that this story line is just a way to cover that up while the various parties negotiate? happens in TV all the time….

I’m actually a very good liar (lying is just another form of storytelling, after all); I just really don’t like doing it.

As an introvert, I have to agree with Max. Thank dog for remote work.

Remembering lies is an important skill, Max. Just look at literally every politician in every country ever. Oh wait, their lies get called out all the time, and nothing happens. I guess it isn’t an important skill after all.

Max basically lied about helping Phoebe look for Marigold. He said, “Remembering lies is also really exhausting.” Nah, he’s not gonna help her out.

What if Max knows where Marigold is, but she asked him not to tell?

Hm. Max’s last two statements are typical of a kid on the autistic spectrum. Has he been officially identified as such?

Does everything have to be a diagnosis? I feel exactly the same way as Max because I’m basically shy. It takes a LOT of energy for me to meet what I feel are basic social requirements (paying attention to conversation, making small talk, thinking of those around me instead of my own thoughts, etc.) and as far as I know that is perfectly normal for introverted people. Max seems to enjoy his own company. That’s an asset, not a condition.

He’s on the spectrum, introvert or both.

Lies can take more brain power to maintain.
