I know all the words to songs from the 60s but can’t remember the name of a movie I just watched.

My wife is amazed at how I can rectally extract the answer to some obscure Jeopardy clue, but forget to take out the garbage.

I’m with gopher about the 80s, I can remember a lot of 60s and some 70s, although most from the 70s sucked.

Songs from 50 and 60’s for us old people – The Golden Oldies. Old people today didn’t listen to songs of 80’s much to remember. Nostalgia wise. The 80’s people are even old yet.

My excuse it that i have well over 6 decades of “stuff” to remember. It’s in there but sometimes takes awhile to bubble to the surface!

Me: Alexa, why am I in the kitchen? Alexa: Hmm I don’t have an answer to that. Conclusion: You aren’t getting old, you are infected with Alexaitis.

There is a name for that. It’s called “the doorway effect”…

Just go back to where you were just a minute ago, and memory will come back to you.

When you’re a senior, you think a lot about the hereafter, as in “What did I come in here after?”.

But… you have had more time to remember the song than why you went into the kitchen. That sounds right to me.
