So, the police have four of them “in the bag”, but I said yesterday that the status of Yeti was unknown, and it remains unknown, but the possibility of his having a “back way” to escape via is looking more likely.

So far, it seems that Ape was hit in the arm, but I think it might take quite a bit of poison to really bring him down, he’s so big.

YAY!!!!! FERRET AND APE LIVE!!!!! I’m sure they can plea bargain their way to a reduced prison sentence. And hopefully, they’ll have pancakes in prison for Ape. All the pancakes he can eat! :D

For all that shooting, Yeti only nicked Ape. Assuming he’s as okay as he looks, the poison’s not even that good.

Looks like the one that got away. Panel 2 is a perfect illustration of “crime doesn’t pay”. They look pretty defeated if at least relieved to be alive.

Oh no! Did Yeti get away again? Was Rose that bad a shot?

What a waste of bullets! Rose needs more practice in handling her gun. She was shooting at the table instead of Yeti.

Nice touch having Ferret give Ape her little Red Riding Hood cape.(Unless that’s a rag and her cape magically disappeared)

Funny how Tracy’s the only one whose breath isn’t white-ish.

On the 8th Ape either turns around in the 2nd panel or the darts changed direction. Irregardless he should have been shot in the back of his arm, not the front as shown today.

Yeti’s worn out his welcome in Tracyville. He’s gotta go.

Stormtroopers. Nothing but stupid stormtroopers. All Tracy had to do was stand and wait until they ran out of ammo, and then pull a gun on them. And they still manage to lose the one guy with the weak-ass weapon.

Yeti are mythological creatures—one only catches glimpses of them. I’m sure he’s faded back into the mists….

Looks like Yeti escaped. It also looks like Yeti has the worst aim in the world.

AL: Al’s not here. He went down the tunnel.

SAM: OH NO! AL ESCAPED AGAIN, TRACY! DT: DANG IT!

AL: Yep. You’ll never get him. Nice try this time though.

SAM: Thanks, uh, Talking Desk?

The fate of Yeti appears ambiguous, like the many past escapes of Abner Kadaver. Notice in the last panel that Sam says, “This is quite a haul! We even got Yet…” and the dialogue halts before he finishes Yeti’s name.

But what do they actually have on any of these folks? Even if the shoe print puts Rose at the scene of the murder, is that enough to prove she did it? Ferret and Ape might be persuaded to talk about Yeti’s activities, and Daisy too, because Yeti abandoned Daisy before. And, of course, all this shooting happened in the presence of Tracy and Sam. But I wish Mark had been given time to develop the actual case against them.

Yeti will be the new Abner Kadaver. He’ll pop up when the “Writers” get stuck trying to do something new. So stay tuned

Four months from now,look under the amusement parkpier and you’ll find Yeti’s skeleton.

So, my question is, is that a mere erroneous typographical omission of the final “i” in panel 3 (Sam’s speech balloon), or is it intentional, expressing Sam’s wonderment that Yeti is not there after all?

Did Yeti escape out some “back door”? Or is his bullet-riddled body lying there behind the workbench/table/desk? My guess is that Yeti did escape, unfortunately.

Meanwhile, , Tracy communicates over his Wrist Wizard, while holding Rose and Daisy (panel 1), and two uniforms hold the soulful duet of Ferret (looking good today) and pitiable, wounded Ape, using her cloak as a bandage (panel 2)….

For a big gunfight in a small, confined space, it seems to have gone relatively bloodless.

I know, I know, welcome to the world of Dick Tracy in the 21st century.

Is it just me or does Ferret look cute?

And Rose has that dominatrix look down pat in that red outfit.
