The knives are out for Cassie, and yes, I am watching the movie tonight. Cassie’s comments can be taken several ways but we must wait for JJ to drop the other shoe on Monday. Let it be, indeed.
Funny, but our 3 daughters never bothered to “introduce” us to their future husbands. Of course the fact that each one was living several states away had something to do with that and we did go to their weddings.
Interesting choice of perspective in panel three. It’s nighttime, the window hidden behind a tree with the shade only half way down inviting us to view two scantily clad, nubile coeds on a bed… “There’s just something about a peek”
Hmmm…my take is that Janis talks so much about the relationship Cassie has had enough. So, if she talks this much about a “friend” how much more if Janis really “likes” someone? Also, check Cassie’s expression in the first panel, a “not again” look?
Husband and I were friends long before we started dating. We are still best friends. Being friends is what helped/helps us stay together and is just as important as still being in love and still loving each other. It is also why if we run into an old high school or college girlfriend of his I am not jealous or upset. Note even with a fellow employee of his that he was sort of involved with after we were married.

Um, I think it’s time to get a new roommate, Janis.
Or learn to sleep with your eyes open.

I’m wondering what’s the parenting secret to raising a daughter like Cassie.

Ugh! At that age “I like you as a friend” was my middle name.

If they are in a horror movie Cassandra will strangle Janis, but since it isn’t who can tell?
