The empty batter’s box? What? Why would the batter’s box be empty?

In all reality , wouldn’t give me more credibility that I’m crazy wild and blind if I threw a pitch into our dugout ? Great idea try to hit Coach Thorp . OK Roger that .

Greggg takes matters into his own hands and after hearing a few WAPs!!!, he serves up his BP fastball right down Broadway and PING! Outta here. Smart aleck Scooter quips, “that got out in a hurry. Anything traveling that fast should have a stewardess.”

One problem with this plan is that Greggg can’t tell which batter’s box is empty. (If we’re lucky, he will mistake it for Marty Moon’s broadcast booth.)

So they quickly score a run off Gregg despite being terrified at the plate? Makes no sense.

I don’t know what those Jefferson players are afraid of, stand in and make Gregggg throw strikes, jump on any pitch that you like in a favorable count, have your head on a swivel and be ready to bail out if the ball is coming at you, if the location is right, take a couple of beanballs for the team and let your coach protest that Gregggg’s pitching is unsafe and have him removed from the game, win the Valley and second in the Valley can be all Milford’s

The irony would be that a Jefferson batter hits a sharp liner at Scooooter’s head and knocks out his front teeth and shuts the yappy chihuahua’s pie hole up for the rest of the story arc

I’m confused.

Since Gil is not in on this little Skippy + Tennis Britches strategy, he notices Gregggg’s wildness during warm-ups and pulls him out of the game before he faces any other batters.

I just hope no young baseball players read this comic! It has gone from silly, to confusing, to a tad sick here.

Watching the story line for the last few weeks.Isn’t the gag supposed to be the umpire having poor eyesight?

The story about Milford’s blind pitcher will spread like wildfire throughout the Valley, and so a TV crew from Central City will show up at the Hammm residence to film a human-interest story about him. Whoops!

P 2 – “…a long day..”?? How? It could also be “a fun day”, kid. Make him throw strikes, lay down some bunts, take huge lead-offs, steal bases with impunity…there’s no way he’s gonna’ be able to handle all that and would be lucky to last two innings. If blind pitchers would result in a lot of wins, don’t you think everyone would be doing it?

I’m feeling more confident after the start of this game’s depiction that my prediction will be correct. Gregggg pitches well but loses a close ballgame. Ideally it would be on a last inning fumbled bunt, but more likely the bullpen blows it. But let’s give it up for Gillll and his masterful coaching job of pitching Gregggg in a winner-take-all game after he was humiliated in his last start and the key to beating him was revealed to the whole league. And pitching him with making absolutely no adjustments.

I’m curious how Jefferson knows he can barely see. The scouting report was that he sucks fielding, would you just assume, “oh, it’s because he’s nearly blind?” Unless Heatherrrr wrote an expose on Gregggg recently. And speaking of recently, recently today’s Mopped Up Thorp was posted.
