95% of the time, rebooting the router fixes the problem. It also removes any viruses, since they canāt change the firmware and rebooting clears the memory.
I once drove to the next town to check a box on the screen for a little, old lady, to get her computer working again after a visit from her son. It took her several minutes just to walk to the door. I didnāt have the heart to charge her (I was freelance) for the service call.
Would that be an ID-10-T (idiot) error? Or possibly the PEBKAC (problem exists between keyboard and chair) error? Iād still put my money on Microsoft Windows playing stupid computer tricks. It does that. A lot.
The most serious problems I have encountered in 45 years of working with computers has always been with the āupgradesā. Surprise! The IT gurus thought of cleverer way to do things and/or another way to rearrange where things are stored (thank you so much Microsoft for wiping out all email files, contact lists, etc. [and changing the suffix so that nothing could even read the backup files] with that upgrade a few years ago.) ā No hint about what is really coming, no suggestions of how to make your previous work compatible with the ānewā way. Just google the question and find a few thousand other people who donāt know how to solve the problem, maybe someone will accidentally come up with an easy fix . . .RIP Internet Explorer ā it officially died today. I hope that doesnāt mess up too many users.

Yes, of course. I get it. A mouse chewed on the chair legs, the chair collapsed, and the plugger fell down on the floor.

Ah, the old PEBCAK error.

The connection between the chair and mouse would be ā¦You.

The solution is likely to be found (solved) elsewhere.

Not ALL pluggers are slugs or morons. After a few more Advil, a cup oā joe and another trip to the BR we can take on the world!

Thereās an acronym for this in the IT world: PEBKAC (Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair)

PEBKAC = Problem Exists Between Keyboard and Chair
āWeāre going on a PICNIC!ā = Problem in chair not in computer
Of course thereās always the infamous ID-TEN-T error!

Mine is usually eye-hand coordination coupled with a severe case of fat fingers, with a little bit of brain moves faster than fingers thrown in
