I want THAT shop vac!!

Did you really forget??

Funny! Unfortunately, too many parents (forget) leaving children and pets in cars to suffer and sometimes perish.

Good thing Hammie’s a cartoon.

Not another Charlie Sheen I hope!

I do not think that she forgot to look by accident. I think she wanted a vacation.

My daughter is notorious for not cleaning her car. So a couple of years ago, I offered to help tackle the job. We were working away, and I found a solo sneaker. I showed it to her, and she said, “I’ve been looking for that.” I said,“for how long?” She said, “Two years.” Points for honesty.

Ahh yes, so many readers assume that with Hammie as a son that mom really “forgot” they were playing hide and seek.

Used to do that with my little brother when he was being a pest. It would give us plenty of peace and quiet. Just the occasional, “Where could he be” or “I know he’s around here somewhere” tossed out every few minutes. Sadly he finally caught on as he got older.

Either Darryl has a really long extension cord on the shop vac or it’s the most powerful cordless one ever.

Remember playing Hide-n-Seek with my siblings. By little sister hid in a closet under somethings and fell asleep. When we couldn’t finder her and had called her name with no response, we told our mother who almost freaked out. We did eventually find her and she wondered what all the excitement was about.

Hiding in a minivan in July. Always a good plan. We’ll be seeing this tragedy on the news.

OMG. That’s right, with toddlers and a minivan you need a shop vac. Still have the shop vac. Toddlers are at uni now. Minivan is probably still going strong somewhere.

The unnatural quiet in the house should have tipped Wanda something was wrong.

Heck of a vac.

I guess they don’t live in a hot climate city where a kid can literally die by hiding out in a car when it’s 90 degrees out or hotter.

A salesman made a phone call to a potential client. It rang twice and was answered by a small whispered “Hello.”

“Is your father home?” the man asked.

“Yes,” said the whisperer, “but he can’t come to the phone.”

“Oh. Is your mother there?”

“She’s busy.”

“Is there an older brother or sister I could talk to?”

“They’re busy, too.” Still whispering.

“What are they all doing?” asked the man.

“They’re looking for me.”
