I can relate ! I have had a much bigger mouse problem since the neighbors from he!! moved in 7 years ago. Looks like a used car lot and laundry rama ( yes, in the front yard) over there. No wonder their 5 dogs like it over here. The joys of living in the country.Paradise Lost !!!!
Friends up north got a court order to prevent the neighbor from putting trash against the fence because there was a little strip of the fence-owner’s property on that side. Anything they hang or post on the fence is quietly removed by the fence-owner.
Never had problems with neighbors, always was nice them and they mellowed out. Of, they might have noticed I carry a gun or heard me talk about guns. Seriously, make friends with your neighbors, and you won’t have problems.
the problem today is people not knowing their neighbors well enough to be able to predict what they are going to do when you complain. Some might take care of the problem, others might call the police, scream at you or in extreme cases, shoot you. Seems like COVID isolation back in 2020 drove far to many people way over the edge
At least Arlo’s fence looks solid, so you can’t see the crap through the fence. i have one fence that is literally falling down; the neighbors have been in Hawaii for about eight years helping a mother in law, and the house is empty.

Just tell them your cat has to go over there and catch the rats that are hiding in there.

Pile up your own junk on your side of the fence so you don’t have to see theirs.

rubbish?—a distinctive British term. Is this strip set in Canada?

Arlo thinks ahead. He knows how complaining can evolve.

This is such a smart comic strip – one of my favorites these days.

Roaming cats in the yard!

Just wait, the dreaded HOA will get them.

Excellent point! Our neighbor’s dog barks all the time – we don’t complain because of the annoying things OUR dog may do to them.

We had a neighbor like that. Except HIS cat was always in our yard.

Exactly right Arlo; no need to start a feud

This is one advantage of HOAs: community standards.

Good fences make good neighbors. (I forget who coined that, but is seems most valid!)

A good shove with a couple of rakes around midnight would solve most of that trash problem. Let it come crashing down on their side.

Who loves the neighbor’s cat using your garden as a litter box?
tcviii Premium Member over 1 year ago
Why would they want to look at their own trash? One reason some people put up fences is so they won’t have to look at the neighbor’s yard.
