Complaining <> coaching
We’re having a sad season on the plains this year, Jimmy. 8^ (
Is it Monday morning already?
“Only if they listen to me. The TV seems to be deaf.”
I am Arlo. We love the game and can’t help but get just as excited when it’s played right as when it’s not.
No, he can’t.
Football’s always easier from the couch.
When I’m watching from my recliner, I yell a lot and throw the red challenge flag, but the refs never see it.
Arm chair quarterback.
Jimmy must be watching Chicago Bears games.
I don’t thing PeeWee coaches get paid … do they?
She’s right. College coaches are the highest paid public employees in most States. It can be as high as 3-4 times what the governor gets.
Who is this “we,” Arlo?
My Hubby is all Football. Doesn’t miss a game of his team (NY Giants) and watches other Sunday games. At least once during a game he makes a statement of what just happened and 2 seconds later the sportcaster(s) say the same thing!
Is it basketball season already?
which is a really sad comment on worth in America
Arlo loves his peaceful mornings enjoying the sunrise, and angry afternoons yelling at the TV.
A woman on another thread said her husband gave up watching football and wants to hangout with her doing errands now.
Said while she enjoys his company, she misses having uninterrupted time to window shop Target or Home Goods.
“You know, you can make a lot of money coaching!”
I like that. It’s right up there with my other favorite I tell people when they’re wearing a team’s player’s jersey: “You look a lot different on TV!”
Arlo cannot make a lot of money coaching. A good coach could make a lot of money coaching, but not Arlo.
Arlo is no happier after the game.
Auburn lost to Ole Miss, 34 to 48.
I lost what little interest I had in sports long ago, but this brings back fond memories of watching with dad and other relatives.
