I once had a wallet* (on a chain) so thick, it hurt my backside. Got a zippered wallet (with an outer keyring and a chain) that I put into my jeans’ side pocket without discomfort.

*It is trifold. Still have it, but keep in storage.

Used to be a round crease from the Copenhagen snuff.

And Gen X-ers don’t have a pocket crease because they have practically no money!

I don’t understand carrying your wallet in your back pocket. Seems unsafe.

I only wear shirts with pockets, even undershirts, that’s where I keep my valuables.

The missed beltloop is a nice touch.

Crease mark heck; I have a custom molded back pocket from mine. My wallet is also custom molded to a taper.

My wallet is on my belt, right next to the onion.

I would say nearly 100% of American men carry their wallets in the back pocket of their jeans.

My jeans have a crease in the right front pocket where I carry my Swiss Army knife.

It can be dangerous, after a certain age and weight.

A plugger butt up close? Barf….

Times keep changing.. one time it was.. a pocket full of 22 shells.. a round can of snuff.. a wallet.. and now a cell phone.

Ever since I almost lost my wallet while riding, oh those many moons ago, I have a chain. It looks kinda dated now, but I know where my wallet is.

Worn patches in my twenty year old jeans from keys, pocket knife, coins and a thin front pocket wallet. With a newly developing one from my phone.

Then a hole.

My daughter and granddaughter put their phones in their back pockets! How easy is that to be stolen!!!

I’m retired, so I rarely wear jeans. Sweatpants and shorts for me!

First the crease, then the thin spot, then finally the gaping hole. I got tired of replacing otherwise good pairs of pants and got a shoulder bag for my wallets and other odd items.

i always smile to see the young guys with their foot-long wallets decorated with chains and stuff sticking out of their back pockets for any pickpocket to snatch easily. i guess they’re not worried because, as pointed out above, they don’t have any money anyway…

Some “men” have marks from their tobacco cans- – I don’t have a wallet, or any thing in pant’s pockets- – still have sciatica 20+ years.

Years ago I saw something on TV about putting your wallet in the front pocket because that was harder for pickpockets to get at. Where I lived, I wasn’t worried about pickpockets, but it suddenly just seemed to make more sense, made the wallet easier to get at, didn’t make an uncomfortable lump to sit on — I’ve had my wallet in the front ever since.

I learned in about 1965 that using the back pocket was too, too painful.
