That’s it. That’s all the decorations for Xmas. Well, I don’t feel so bad for only putting up a wreath on my door. But, I still plan to put out a tree, either in the yard or porch.
I just realized I still haven’t seen our two wild tom turkeys since just before Thanksgiving. They don’t migrate, so I hope they are just grazing elsewhere for a while. I miss the guys. The deer are still in rutting season, so they are pretty actively running around and eating everything in sight. If you live where there are deer, remember to be extra careful around dawn and dusk as they really don’t care about traffic laws.
What did the Pilgrims have for the first Christmas in 1621? Oops, I forgot. The Puritans didn’t celebrate Christmas. Too much fun—and too pagan for their stolid tastes.
