It’s like when Jim Hacker asked Sir Humphrey a question and Humphrey responded

    “Yes and no”

What kind of an answer is that? asked Hacker

“It’s a balanced answer” replied sir Humphrey!

Shouldn’t the seesaw balance be the opposite? Did Jef make a mistake or is there a joke in there?

It’s not a plan until you figure out when and how you intend to do those things. For example, I do 15 minutes of body weight exercises outside first thing in the morning before breakfast. Without those details it’s an intention, not a plan.

Caulfield is long on explanation but short on performance. His argument has no weight until it is put to use.

My GF always tells me she will diet next week. But if that is a see-saw, Frazz is on the ground.

Reminds me of Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle: The more precisely you know the position, the less precisely you can know the velocity, and vice-versa.

Give me a lever and a place to stand, and I’ll get around to doing something eventually.

I’ve written several pages today! But I am going to forgo the rest… well if I am lucky I’ll still do the bedtime one, that sounds like a nice ending to a cold Winters day.

And vice versa: the more specific the timeline, the less specific the objective. “I’m going to eat healthier food starting today!”

Am I the only one who read the opening line “Take this plan” and mentally added “and shove it!”?

I doubt Caulfield would be happy with an 8:30 bedtime

Bed at 8:30 = no life. At least no night life. I know someone like that. Thinks he’s superior because he gets up at 4 am.
