To be fair, the Musicians Hall of Fame was founded in 2006, so most (potentially all) of its inductees have been performing for decades prior to making the list.
Actually, with only a single hit song [one hit wonder], it’s surprising that they got into any hall of fame. The admission standards can’t be too high. The song itself wasn’t especially good…. just a few basic guitar chords and a drum solo.
As much as I like the song Wipeout, no way should the Safaris be in the HOF. Of course, they are not alone in that category, just as there are others who should have been admitted a long time ago.
