Apparently, there is some discussion in astronomical circles that, due to its large size in comparison to Earth, the Moon should be reclassified as a twin planet, not a satellite.
I presume dating moon rocks has told us the moon is the same age as the Earth… although I would expect a lot of the moon’s surface to be meteors and space debris. So many mysteries: the synchronous rotation of the Moon and alignment of axes with respect to the Earth virtually requires the moon to have separated from Earth originally, but how it attained a very circular orbit utterly baffles me.
I just found out that that as you go South, the Moon appears to rotate such that at the South Pole it appears upside down for what it appears at the North Pole. A first quarter waxing Moon appears lit on the left side rather than the right side.

Janis has his number but Arlo can’t help it. It’s a male thing. Just ask my wife.

In 2020, researchers discovered that the moon is actually 85 million years younger than we once thought.”
“Computer simulations revealed that the moon formed roughly 4.425 billion years ago.”

The moon is inhabited by ETs. Earth can never see the backside of the moon. The moon is hollow indicating that it was manufactured.

Purportedly, the moon was much closer to the earth & continues to slowly move away
