Interesting to see where this one leads.

My wife and I both love unique words. She shared “piker” with me several years ago after she read it in a JD Robb book. Every once in a while she says, “Don’t be a piker.” Funny how you can remember details like this.

Jeff must have been coming from some comic convention right before drawing this strip.

I assumed cartoonists just wore underwear and socks and nothing else.

Piker biker…

I have never heard of “piker”.

Love it!

Cartoonists wear clothes?!?

(I would have typed that all in caps, for emphasis, but I didn’t want anyone to think I was angry.)

I guess this isn’t really breaking the fourth wall, but it does poke a hole in it and pokes a mirror through.

Frazz reminds me a bit of John Prine, an acclaimed folk songwriter/singer, who wrote many of his early songs in his head while delivering mail in Chicago. We lost Prine to COVID on April 7, 2020.

Some may not have heard of him, but you have surely heard his songs:

and others.

So now I’m curious to see what Jeff Mallett is wearing…maybe a new character could show us.
