Thing is that some teachers really are boring. I didn’t become interested in History until i got this great teacher in junior college.

Bored of education is a daily occurrence for you, Calvin.

If Calvin thinks that getting through school is supposed to be interesting— dare I say fascinating?— he’s in for a big letdown!

By now, Calvin feels he and the principal understand each other….sort of….

sorry, Calvin, they are trying to train you for business meetings when you grow up, not for doing meaningful things. I think there were only a handful of corporate meetings of the hundreds that I had to attend that weren’t boring. AND I was the one that made sure they weren’t. (insert evil villain laugh here)

Reminds me of the book “Why Johnny Can’t Read” that came out in the 60’s (I think). Book made the basic point of how school is badly designed.

Oh how I wanted to do that to several teachers.

I had a job where I had to drill holes. I quit because it was too boring.

Well, at least gag the messenger.

Definitely one of the funniest instances of Calvin getting in trouble at school. Surprised he didn’t try that earlier in the run!

Well, that is one way to get out of la boring class…

He needs to be in a special class for creative minds.

I wonder if this is how Marjorie Taylor Greene learned the conventions of decorum for State of the Union addresses.

You know we all wanted to yell this out in class, but only Calvin has the nerve to actually do it. Bravo!

He just said what the rest of us were feeling. ; )

It usually wasn’t too boring the first time something was presented. But the second and third times were snoozers. And having students take turns reading aloud from the book was a real downer.

Calvin is no fighter, he just talks a good game

I can see Calvin at 17 selling weed behind a 7-11 before his shift at Bk’s.

Good God, if this six year old could only focus remotely on his studies, he would be a topper in the class, specially the vocabulary part.

He should count his lucky stars, these days some ‘Responsible Gun Owner’ ( ® NRA) would stop by the school, to make the day more exciting for everyone, and help out with local job creation efforts (undertakers, coroners, police, trauma counsellors, right-wing media pundits, etc).

Why isn’t he reading or writing and drawing?

Calvin should have belched it and explained that he didn’t know he had it in him.

I remember an English language course (I’m European, so languages courses are mandatory) which was so boring that I did other things. The prof asked me why I didn’t followed her course, I told her that it was boring and that I was working way ahead in the program. Because I was a good student, she smiled and told to the whole class: “Well, there is at least two people who are working here!!”. Silence. I was bullied after the course, and put “aside” from every groups of students. There after, she helped me for my studies, and I also helped the others to get better results. I wasn’t bullied after that!!
