Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
I prefer to say, “No matter where you go, you are here.” For instance, if I asked you right now are you there or here, you would say that you are “here”.
First it was maps in the Boy Scouts, then charts in the Coast Guard, then all kinds of maps taking Physical Geology in college. Then maps again in the Army. To me they are, and always have been, fascinating. I guess I am a 1:25,000 (but 1:24,000 are ok) kind of guy.
When I went to New York to run the Half-Marathon (2019), we toured the New York City public library and my wife fell in love with the Map Room! Who doesn’t love a good map?!?
“Buckaroo Banzai” is one of the best comic book movies ever made (even though it wasn’t based on a comic book) and one of the smartest. It’s as crammed with visual gags as one of Mort Drucker’s “Mad” movie parodies and littered with head-turning throw-away lines. Personally, I think it’s an underrated masterpiece.
Before you insult someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when they come to get you, you’ll already be a mile away. And you’ll have their shoes.

I love a good Buckaroo Bonzai reference. It’s my favorite obscure movie.

Dear Frazz: Looking at a map of France is not like being in France.

The minds knows no bounds when allowed to roam free of the constraints of this world. Holding onto the experiences is the difficult part.
