Learning to put both the seat and the lid down solves the drinking the toilet water problem.

Very nice – licking with a freshly-cleaned tongue.

Once on a hospital visit with our highly trained therapy beagle and golden, the golden got thirsty in a room with a toilet easily accessible for the patient. We all got a good laugh out of it, including the patient. The golden is normally highly obedient, so I was kind of surprised. But once in 6 years is forgivable.

I think that one of the reasons I always put the toilet seat (lid) down.

Eeeeewwwwww!! My first dog was a toilet drinker when we got him. Thankfully my house full of girls kept the seat down so he never shared any toilet bowl kisses with me.

That is one tiny toilet. Or Rover is bigger than I thought.
