I don’t think “hotel” bashes are about the food, entertainment, or decorations.

She’ll brighten up when she finds out he booked a room.

I think Phil needs another date! Also, he might reconsider the whole relationship…

Judging by the way she misspells “oeuvres”, Val may be more flustered than she looks!

And earplugs … and a flask.

Since it sounds like she doesn’t even want to go to begin with, I can’t imagine why Val would need a new dress that she’ll more than likely never wear again just to attend a “hotel bash” with a mediocre band, tacky decorations, bad hors d’oeuvres and watery drinks. She’d be better off saving the money by picking something out of her closet that she already owns and wearing it on their New Year’s Eve date instead. Unless it’s extremely out-of-date, no one’s going to know the difference anyhow.

For my day the last day, we do not go to hotel room to say goodbye to the year and ending my birthday. Stay home. We are at the age not much for us to do on my day, that if it is not bad weather.

Where’s today’s strip? Or has Stone Soup joined 9 Chicks Classic in Neverland?

Stone Soup Classics hasn’t been updated since October 31st. Hope they aren’t going to take it down like they did 9 Chickweed Classics. It seems whenever the “Classics” stop updating they take it down for good.

What’s going on? I hope they’re not axing STC.

There are plenty of reruns they could show instead of this one. I could go back and read some from the past.

Uh oh! another comic strip going down? 2 weeks passed with the same 9 Chickweed Lane Clasic and now it is gone… will this be the next?

Maybe if it stays on this till the end of December…

Maybe they’re going to resume updates in January to get the strip synchronized with actual time.

I think we are all in the Groundhog Day movie. Every day I come here and the same song is playing.

The strip is on “hold” until next year when the site gets updated/revamped.

For some reason this strip is stuck on halloween, but relevant to New Year’s Eve.

What’s the problem? Did we come to the end of the strip?

Okay, It’s now November 4th and we’re still stuck on the Oct. 31st strip. Are they trying to get this strip caught up to the calendar?

This happened for a day with The Norm! reprints. I mentioned it to Michael Jantze and it was fixed the next day.

I haven’t received Stone Soup Classics for several days. Is something going on?

What is going on with GC? First they cancel 9 Chickweed Lane Classics (which were nowhere close to catching up with the current version) and now Stone Soup Classics is stuck on October 31. I wish GC had enough respect for their readers to at least explain what is going on!

Has Gocomics stopped progressing this strip?

Can we please get someone to curate this website? Stone Soup Classics stalled out a week ago.

Well, there’s enough info to say they’re not going to update to the new year. What I wish they wouldn’t do is recommend something in the “You Might Also Like” link, and then the link takes you to a page that says “That feature could not be found.” Especially when it was something you liked, and there’s no archive.

I hit the random button so I always have something ‘new.’
