Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Fictional books within comic strips are a fascinating phenom, like in “Calvin and Hobbes” by Bill Watterson, with “Hamster Huey and the Gooey Kablooey” by Mabel Syrup and the sequel “Commander Coriander Salamander and ’er Single Hander BellyLander”. Richard Thompson’s contribution “Fontanelle the Imperiled Infant” series is a magnificent effort as well.
Alice is likable today! And, of course, so is Peter. What a charming father-daughter moment. (I’m not so keen on “Fontanelle the Imperiled Infant,” though.)

Fontanelle leads quite an exciting life. He’ll be bored stiff in 30 years.

Fontanelle looks a lot like Peter as an infant.

I do love the sea mine in the bathtub! And “perfidious!” Where else would you see such things in a comic strip?

For a long time DC had a store named Commander Salamander. One of the best.

I had to check. Fontanelle is the soft spot of the infant’s skull. Richard Thomas was masterful on multiple levels.
