Do they really know that’s what Rod would have wanted? I mean, it’s kind of a cliché, when someone dies or is seriously hurt someone will say, “He would have wanted us to go on….finish the game….order dessert.” Just once I’d like to hear someone say, “He would have wanted us to cancel the game and spend all day crying about me.” Just for a change of pace. And speaking of pace, you don’t need to pace yourself to read today’s Mopped Up Thorp.

Yeah, this is a load of crap. A violent collision/flagrant call with no ejection? Kid’s heart stops, then after a half an hour they decide to finish the game when everyone is shaken up? Coaches colluding as to the finish of the game? This ain’t legit. Nobody is collecting from their wagers once this fiasco ends!

It’s what he would have wanted? He’s not dead! In fact, he’s not even unconscious. Maybe he can say what he actually wants? Of course, what he wants doesn’t really matter, since this is the championship game. The powers-that-be are going to make sure that the last minute of the game gets played, no matter what.

Gil didn’t go with Rod to the hospital because Cami jumped in the back of the ambulance. Five seconds later the medic saw them going at it so he slammed the doors shut. Will Cami be back at the hospital in nine months? Will Rod be there too? Will they both be on Maury in a year? Stay tuned!
