Haven’t done a whole lot in life have you Earl ?

To be fair, he used a lot of abbreviations.

More of a minimoir.

Surprised he could fill that much of the page…

All he could think of at that time!

That’s more than most of us have nowadays.

Earl will never be another Marcus Aurelius in his Meditations. But in his own fumbling way, he might write something similar to his circumstances:

“You cannot hope to be a scholar. But what you can do is to curb arrogance; what you can do is to rise above pleasures and pains; you can be superior to the lure of popularity; you can keep your temper with the foolish and ungrateful, yes, and even care for them.”

The sum of what Earl has learned in life is, “Don’t marry a shrew.” It takes less than a page to say THAT…

Concise. Could probably fit on a bumper sticker.

Save and invest for retirement. Mind your own freaking business. Done!

Such is life…. Most obituaries are less than a page.

True wisdom is short and simple! Way to go, Earl! Now, if only our wisenheimers would only figure this out…

I hope Earl took care to leave all the boring stuff out of it and have a tell-all good time of it.

He is a tacturn man. A man of few words. Very succinct.

It depends on whether it is single spaced or double spaced. If it is single spaced, Earl could be saying quite a lot.

Opal, true wisdom boils down to a few simple things.

Never play cards with a man called Doc.

Never eat at a place called Mom’s.

Never sleep with a woman whose troubles are worse than your own.

Always drink upstream from the herd.

Don’t tug on Supermans cape.

Don’t pee into he wind.

Don’t pull the mask off that old lone ranger

Don’t mess around with Jim.

Look at all those spelling errors!

Well, Earl, at least you’re honest.

Earl’s notes are more succinct than Cliff’s.
