Use it or lose it. At least go for walks. If you’re sedentary too long, you won’t be able to do as much. I learned the hard way when I was in a hospital bed for two weeks. I spent the next six weeks in a nursing home having PT 5–6 times a week to be able to stand and walk.
Once I get my procedure done on my back that I had to postpone until August, I will be hitting the gym or doing weights at home regularly. I might try and do some light weights at home even before then, if my back is agreeable to it. I really miss my heavy workouts. I enjoyed them.
I spent many, many years in gyms and I can honestly say I never went in a strapless bathing suit. While it could be said she “wants” to swim, that would not be a safe choice for a suit. I think she’s showing off. (ew)
No gym for me! I do get lots of exercise from climbing down and up three flights of stairs several times a day in my elevator-less building. And I do a lot of walking in my neighborhood, which can be a bit of a challenge in Mexico, where sidewalks are rarely in optimum condition, to put it kindly.

Easy-peasy, Aunty. You can go the gym anytime at all. Just don’t do anything while you’re there!

If I have to pay to go there and drive to get there, I ain’t going. I hit the floor and then the pavement every morning.

Part of me wants to puke, and part of me already did. Cover up Aunty, for the sake of the children, cover up.

No parts of me want to exercise today, although I may go and putter in the garden.

My head says “I really need to get more exercise”. My body says “Sit down, shut up, have another bon-bon. Have two, they are small.”
