That is because they keep inventing really cool series on new streaming services .

Cutting the cable, if you wan to continue to have access to stuff like HBO or SYFY, is considerably more expensive than cable even agreeing that cable is waaaaay too expensive.

We watch broadcast TV. It works for us. And it’s free. When there is nothing on, we have DVDs and VHS tapes——all supposed to be obsolete, but still working fine for us.

Seriously, Americans are getting screwed! They get you with one series here, another there, and before you know it…you’re paying for 6 streaming and cable to boot. It’s an OUTRAGE, I tell you, an OUTRAGE!

    ☺️☺️☺️

Hey I like my cable service. It has 300 channels. 200 of them are infomercials.

Then there are the sports channels: college baseball, women’s lacrosse, skateboard championships, beach volleyball and Major League Baseball. You have to pay extra for the baseball.

They used to have the NFL ticket but that’s now streaming on another service.

At least there are some streaming services where you can buy past seasons of some shows a la carte.

We have basic cable. I occasionally fire up my ROKU and watch old shows and movies on Tubi. Other than that, not much else to watch. Very few new shows ever interest us. Books are good.

The ones I have are about 1/2 the cost of my cable and have all the channels I need. If there are series on any channel I can’t get and want, I’ll wait for the DVDs. The good part is if they are cancelled midway, I won’t bother.

Not true, I mean you may approach your cable bill pricing level, IF, you subscribe to what would probably be too many services…………………………………..I’ll tell you wut, go back, see how much you luv it.

Who has the time to actually watch all these good shows? Unless one is permanently living on the couch.

It’s worse when you’re also still paying for cable. :)

I have a Tablo box, download everything I want from my computer. The computer hookup from Spectrum is $45 a month, and I can choose to get a month’s worth of whatever I want. HBOMAX, etc are about $10 a month average, and you just quit paying the bill when you have seen what you want, and subscribe again whenever you want to.

I can’t believe anybody pays four times more for streaming than I pay for cable. If they do they need help.

My local library system has the best shows on either DVD or streaming. For free. They may be one year behind on seasons, but I can deal with that.

“This message was brought to you by the National Cable & Telecommunications Association.”

I cut cable when it passed $200 a month. I have all the most popular streaming services and I’m paying much less. And realistically, I could drop about half of them but they’re so cheap it’s not worth the trouble.
