still in trouble regardless

In all her years in this strip so far, I’ve never seen “Aypo” punished—even when she deserved to be!!

April unsupervised yet again. Shocking.

How do you know they were mom’s flowers? April picked the flowers in sandy beach colored ground. She returned them to a different place. The ground was a darker brown garden color where mom was already bent on her knees. Why the mom didn’t see April there is anyone’s guess.

Michael still ruining everything.

No child should be punished for picking flowers for their mother. Plants can be replanted. One of the saddest things I’d ever seen was a little boy giving his mother a handful of dandelions, and the mother literally cussing him out for handing her a “bunch of f*****g weeds”.

my daughter came home one day with a stick and insisted on planting it. It grew into a tree!

Covering your tracks comes early. Owning up to your mistakes is laudable.

My Dad taught me, once, that a burned-out light bulb won’t work in any other socket in the house. I tried it in all of them.

My 2 1/2 year old granddaughter love picking my wife’s flowers.

Poor April, too young to realize that most actions when done, cannot be undone. Keep learning kid, keep learning.

This is were Mom starts looking for the neighbor’s pet who pee’d on her flowers… LOL

Should have tried a different fertilizer

Michael the busybody is at it again. It was not enough for Michael to get Lawrence expelled from the house. Michael was the one who demanded Lawrence come out, as Lawrence said he was unsure how his parents felt and wanted to get a better understanding, but Michael said Lawrence is a liar.

My mom had a wonderful flower garden. When the daffodils came out, she would cut a few fresh ones—just open. She would put them in drinking glasses and drop a bit of food colouring into the water in each one so that we had a row of coloured “vases” —each holding one daffodil. Within hours, it seemed, the daffodil petals would begin to show a tiny row of colour along the edge. In a day or so, the veins in the petals were clearly seen as the colour flowed into them. It made a beautiful and fascinating show. We did this every year. I recently showed my grandkids this little miracle and they were thrilled. There’s nothing like nature to keep you fascinated.

Kind of late for daffodils? It’s been so warm this winter that they started to bloom in February!
