Andy has decided to ignore what he knows he should do…a perfectly human reaction…

Andy, don’t you know that an apple a day keeps the doctor away? Now where was that “Apple of my Rye” pub again?

Give up boozing??

What else does does that worthless lump have to live for??

That’s a Revolting idea.

And here I thought that drinking at the Boilermakers would have you all fired up to tell the Doctor that his advice is not the ale that he wants.

And Flo’s eyes are so big, so hopeful, that he’ll stop drinking!!

The Rose and Crown still gets to keep its best moocher,…. er, customer!

For a moment, Flo saw her life flash before her eyes.

I once read an article on the dangers of drinking…….and I decided to give up reading

What Andy meant was _ stop drinking in the Boilermakers when the doc was “in” sipping Sherry. ( I used to like Sherry – she was sweet)

Sipping Sherry. Depending, of course, what Sherry looks like.

Andy doesn’t exactly lead a life of luxury, but it’s still better that getting a life of lecturing.

Andy just wants to hear Guitar Bob sing Rye Whiskey ala Homer and Jethro (won’t post the link as it might annoy the site police.)

Now there is common sense.

There are two things Andy can’t tolerate, good advice and the people who provide.

Somehow, the images of “a small sherry” and “The Boilermakers” well, clash. Like a clown suit at a funeral parlor.

Eldo’s 4th classic today reminded me of the old joke: “If you drink soup in the rain, how do you know when you’re finished?” FREE ELDO!

One of the roles of a doctor is to simply “recommend” lifestyle changes to their patients and not go on and on about it. After all we only have one life and yes it may be cut short due to certain lifestyle habits. But it was their life to lead and theirs alone. Personally, I’d rather do things that were bad for me but made me happy than good for me which made me miserable. I wouldn’t be happy if somebody recommended a lifestyle change to me if they were not my doctor. It’s probably because I can’t take personal criticism. Who knows?

Don’t get your hopes up, Flo. Andy will give up booze when Hades freezes over.

Sooner or later, the doctor is going to be at all the pubs at which Andy drinks (and mooches).
