Just out of curiosity are you planting or burying something. That stick kind of looks like a cross.

Having been a consultant I can assure you that people don’t necessarily listen to consultants either.

I worked for a company that hired a consultant, they followed his advice and went bankrupt.

Having just gotten OUT of consulting, I can tell you many of them still think this is the way. Especially the women leaders, in my experience. ;-)

Zoe is on her way to being an INFLUENCER. Heaven help the world, another one!

Hmmmm, what did Hammie just bury and put what looks like a twig cross. Perhaps one of Zoe’s dolls, although she was present, she was so self invoved with wondering about Hammie’s future, I don’t think she was paying any attention to him

I could use one of those. Or a wife.

Consultant: n. 1. Some one who watches every job in your company – none of which they have ever done – for 15 minutes, then tells everyone a really bad way to do the job they’ve been doing quite well for years. They then get paid so much that annual bonuses are cancelled (for the hourly employees only, of course; never for the fools throwing the money away).

The old definition of a consultant…A guy of average intelligence who is a long way from home

Watch out, Hammie. As Dogbert once observed, “consult” is a mashup of the words “con” and “insult.”

I thought the usual title for what she’s describing was “life coach”?

A consultant takes the information you already have, gives it back to you, and charges a hefty fee. Much because people will listen to a consultant but not their own employees.
