Actor John Turturro loves coffee. If you Google his name and “coffee,” several images and clips from his dozens of film roles will populate the screen. You can buy a coffee mug with his face on it. He has stated a desire to be cast as a chef. (Pay attention, Spike Lee.) Maestro is an honorific often used to refer to a Master Chef. He and his wife, Katherine Borowitz, love to create feasts for their friends. All the brown colors today? Turturro and Borowitz live in a Park Slope Brownstone in Brooklyn. John Turturro and Pete Davidson appear in a sequel to “The Big Lebowski.” Lots of coffee references in “Lebowski,” including a coffee cup thrown at The Dude.

I’ve read Gil Thorp for over 40 years. Today I am unsubscribing out of principle. There hasn’t been one story arc that I have found intriguing or interesting in the past year.

Gil Thorp is no longer a strip about High School Sports, and when sports makes a cameo in the strip it is remarkably bad or inaccurate.

I have a Google Alert set for when Henry is (finally) fired or moves on to greener pastures, then I’ll give it another try.

Ok, it’s another comic that seems to be random sentences strung together.

Henry played us all… we all woke up at a ungodly hour to get Mimi’s answer, got pulled into a new school year, couldn’t figure out panel 2, and didn’t understand it until we grabbed some coffee. Well played, Henry!

“Pull your pants up”??? Ding Dong is right? Wait…. what happened to ‘Are you two in love?’ Which, btw, was asked as if asking the time.

No Milford Town Park City Lake beach time this Summer. Little fun and intrigue at MCC. No HVB and JaQuan The Don doing stupid things. Like a whiny fart, we wobble into a new school year, earliest in GT history.

Pete Davidson won’t be the only SNL alum to appear in Gil Thorp this year. Look for guest appearances from Will Ferrell and Cheri Oteri as the new cheerleading coaches, Molly Shannon as the Pedro’s new love interest Mary Katherine, and Bill Murray as Mopman’s rival, the groundskeeper.

I just don’t get this strip. it just seems like it’s a long stream of non-sequiturs. I give up. Leaving.
