For a painting that couldn’t be quainter, He stood contemplating the retainer, With a look that’s so bland, And the cash in his left hand, How much do you tip a painter?

Again, a larger strip image is shown by merely clicking the image in Mr. Melcher’s MASTERPIECE #670 (September 15, 2011) blog entry, accessible by the Check out the blog! box after the last comment. I have added a comment there pointing to the blog entry with my comment pointing to info about this artist I used to point to here. So far, 15 works by him have been used here (17 times total, including this repeat and a prior), the September 6, 2012, strip being its first use. GoComics has deactivated the hyperlinks and removed the new lines in my comment there; but, perhaps the text remains informative.
I still wonder why one side of his vest has more fabric, i.e., is longer, than the other – any answers?
The April 18, 2023, strip has the prior non-repeat by him.

His come-hither look would be more effective if he hadn’t just had a pot of Boston Baked Beans for lunch.

/// Moses Gill has a look on his mug
which comes off as insufferably smug.
Pompous pose and demeanor
might not gall, were he leaner,
and not wearing a vest quite so snug.

He seems a self-satisfied sort/
(Don’t know why- since he’s chubby and short)/
Yet he sails through the world/
With his mainsail unfurled:/
Though he seems to be listing to port,///
With himself he is visibly smitten/
And this note that somebody has written/
Says he’s won (yet again !)/
He’s “a man among men”/
Though at present he purrs like a kitten.
