So now BOTH macaellan boys are in the soup. I like Mom’s expression in panel 2 too… she knows it was one of them. She’s not even suprised. She’s just EXAUSTED after this day.

Watch dad get himself out of the predicament without mom knowing until she finally arrives. That’s when she’ll really go ape

Given that Wallace is often at the dock without parental supervision, I predict she will give him the fuel filter and tell him to take it to Mr. Ziggy. Shenanigans ensue. Fortunately school is about to start so Wallace can’t be grounded for the whole summer.

Mom is going to get on her surf board,paddle out to sea and never return.

Remember, count to one hundred (usually it’s only 10) to calm down before you do anything, especially if it’s going to be murder…..

This should be titled “Mom’s Hero LIFE” not day.

Will Henry is a finalist for two of this year’s Reuben Awards: Outstanding Cartoonist (against Tatulli for “Lio”), and Best Newspaper Strip (against Darren Bell for “Rudy Park” and Dana Simpson for “Phoebe and Her Unicorn”). Winners announced Sept. 7.

Lio is popular with some people, but I find it a boring poor man’s Gahan Wilson. Phoebe has a massive following with the “girl power” group, and Darren is just an all-round good artist, so there’s strong competition there. I’ve got my trash bag of popcorn ready for this nail-biter.

It is such a joy having children.

Just when you think things couldn’t get worse, they get worse.

Future story arc: Mom takes a vacation from family and Spud learns to cook for them.
