Opal’s up to real skullduggery now!!!

Well, hello doily.

Any open space is fair game for a doily.

And you have to put one under the African Violet!

Why does it look like opal is using two hooks? Crochet is done with only one hook. My wife is a crocheter and she has more different-sized and -colored hooks, and various kinds, too. She particularly likes the ones with thick plastic ends that are larger and easier on her fingers and hands. I bought her a set for Christmas a number of years ago and she loves them. (They’re also easier to find when they end up between the sofa cushions.)

I’m making a sun doily to protect your father’s head, and so all the men in the neighborhood can laugh at him.

Looks like an upside down coffee filter :-)

Put one under his chin in case he drools.

And if he snores, you can pack 2 or 3 up his nose.

Later on you might call it a night cap!

Any smooth empty shiny surface is a good place for a doily.

If it doesn’t move put a doily on it or under it.

They need a lot of those at asylums, Opal. You should spend more time there.

A doily toupee for Earl…

We remodeled, got new furniture, and ditched the doilies.

Poor Earl……. NO respect ( LOL )

Don’t knock it! I have doilies that my grandma and mom made and all that labor of love isn’t gonna sit in a drawer ! ❤️❤️

I believe one would tat doilies. Crocheted would be too thick. They’re lacy.

I believe doily sales are on a par with the tea cozies over on The Born Loser.

Used to protect the furniture from greasy hair so prevalent in the 1800s.
