Back in my youth, that would bring me to the table. Nowadays, when my wife whips up pancakes, scrambled, eggs, bacon and sausage when my kids eat breakfast, all I can say is ugh. My tongue says YES, but the rest of me says NO. I need to eat my usual Shredded Wheat and Bran along with Strawberries and Soy Milk. When you get older, you’ve got to respect your digestive system or else the consequences are painful.

Parsley isn’t really a vegetable, it’s more of an herb.

Ah yes. A Texas snack. I’ll have two. …call 911 and have them be on the way. There’s no way they’ll get here before I’m finished eating.

I was raised to ignore the parsley – it was considered inedible.
bobpeters61 about 1 year ago
Leave the parsley, and you have a hearty breakfast for two.

I’m hearing proteins, grains, and vegetables. Add a glass of OJ or milk and it sounds healthy to me.

There is a restaurant that lets cats inside? Think of the cat hair in the food!

Healthy breakfast? Healthy for who? Certainly not Jon. The diner must have a farm on the side.

(senses a combined meal in this cartoon (such as a certain kind of frozen meal); imagines “HEALTHY BREAKFAST” being a brand name for such a meal)

(makes a note of findings of two kinds of vegetables mentioned in this cartoon: “POTATOES” and “PARSLEY”)
