I dug up some fish fossils in SE Wyoming a few years ago in 52 million year old sedimentary rock. I noticed that after 52 million years, most of the fish smell is gone.
1 M BC is kinda young for a fish fossil. Much of the limestone that underlies the Great Plains was laid down during the Cretaceous period, about 65 M years ago.

So you caught this one and killed it and made it an exhibit. Sounds right!

“This was donated for special viewing by Racquel Welch. Next, we have the actual animal-skin bikini she wore in the movie.”

The last time I went fishing I caught a shoe. But you should have seen the boot that got away!
