So it’s true??? NBC runs the universe?

As far as excessive money spent on telescopes, this is so true it hurts.

I went to Amazon and searched for “Big-A telescope”. The most expensive one they had was only $1,715. Either they got ripped off or they should’ve joined Amazon Prime.

Just like a scientist to waste money.

When was the last time NBC actually aired one of those? I remember them during Saturday mornings, but that was a long time ago.

A more believable banner would be Firesign Theater’s Everything You Know Is Wrong.

I suspect the face of our Moon will eventually be used for advertising and political messages, and nothing we can do to turn them off. For instance, once the Chinese get up there, they might unfurl a huge banner of “The Mao in the Moon.” (—

If he had the most powerful telescope imaginable, would he see the back of his head when he uses it?

I like that it’s a Big A telescope

I think the James Webb telescope cost ten billion dollars. It is a million miles from Earth. Impressive achievement. But how are they going to repair it when something goes wrong?

Casual Geographic uses that term on Utube.

Secrets of the universe are being revealed by the array of telescopes able to discern different wave lengths. Astronomers are zeroing in on exoplanets possibly capable of supporting life. Does it affect day-to-day issues? No but there is no telling the benefits of such knowledge in the future.

I don’t recall that. And, apropos of nothing, I really enjoyed the PBS series, Connections.

I’ve never seen this phrase. I don’t watch much from major broadcast stations so maybe that’s the reason.
