In 1974 I saw Bob Dylan and the Band. Tickets were $9.50.

A thousand dollars? Were they discounted?

I don’t know if I would step in that direction, Dave. If they’re devoted enough to pay that kind of money you’re dealing with people more than willing to show their loyalty by defending her against any slight. But best of luck.

Meh, last concert I went to was a “Pay what you want” event. Had a blast, bought the t-shirt.

Taylor Swift? I must admit, I don’t know even ONE Taylor Swift song. Then again, I’m old.

In the 70s, at a Day on the Green in Oakland, CA I could see 4 headliners for less than $20.

I read that some of her fans wear diapers so they won’t miss any of her concert by having to stand in line for the restroom.

She needs more red lipstick.

To be perfect, I suggest the performer should resemble Taylor Swift dressed in a bit of revealing costume with bright red lipstick.

Get sooo tired of ads with her hawking products.

Some people are willing to allow a Swift parting from all their hard-earned money.

It used to be that rich people went to the opera, and working class people went to the ball game. Now the opera is affordable, and rich people go to the ball game, or the big name concerts. The Who were very prescient with the line “Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.”

And maybe this latest Beyoncé concert also? SO tired of Taylor Swift! SO,SO TIRED!

Now you have to have a ticket to buy a ticket. Anyone can fix it…..quit buying tickets.

. Yeah, I’m old enough to remember driving to Alpine Valley the day of the show, walking up to the box office, and plunking down my $12 to see the Grateful Dead…….. down

For that matter, I’m old enough to remember walking 5 minutes to the local college’s gym & plunking my $3 to see Mike Quatro open for Muddy Waters.

I have better ways to spend my hard earned money. When I went to concerts, operas, symphonies, I did not pay a car payment amount to attend. I have purchased many new cars, homes, and have retirement savings as I refused to make one individual wealthy by paying ridiculous ticket prices.Bet those concert goers have zilch in savings. Good luck trying to buy a house or car or retire with zero $$$$$$.

Still cheaper than a super bowl ticket – right, but that’s paying to see men harm themselves.

At some venues TS tickets were in the $5000 to $7000 range. That’s insane.

Not everybody is 1.000 $ short now. Certainly not you!

I saw Prince in 1984. Ticket cost $17.50

Not good if I’ve had to pay $1,000 to watch a concert by a musician whose music I don’t care for.
