Okay so lemme get this straight, Francis has been ripping on Nate about liking Good & Plentys and he doesn’t even have a favorite candy? This convo feels so unnatural since it’s just Nate and Teddy arguing over their favorite and then they gang up on Francis all of a sudden. I know a lot of people thought this arc started strong but I honestly thought it was just another reboot of an unoriginal Peirce idea and it ended up sinking far lower than it should’ve.

We know Big Nate strips can be better than this. We know the storytelling can be great I mean- LOOK AT THE NOVELS!!!

Let’s just wait and see…

Wow, this arc went off the rails. First half okay, then it turned to ragging on Nate, now this? There’s something so ridiculously and unnecessarily jerky about Teddy telling Nate he has to change his candy ranking. What?? What kind of statement is that??? Then out of nowhere they gang up on Francis, which admittedly cam be funny, but feels so artificial. Francis DOES like candy. Peirce just ran out of good and plenty jokes I guess.

5\10, the punch line was decent, but dear lord what was this mess of an arc? What is going on, Peirce? Idc what people say. He can do better, imo.

So Francis prefers carrots over candy and that’s why he doesn’t like Good & Plentys? And this is from someone who doesn’t wanna be given apples instead of candy

Francis is on another level of weird, but not AS weird as Marty, 1 can hope they don’t team up, or it’s gonna get spooky.

I like carrots but don’t waste good chocolate dipping them into it. Also, carrot houses better enjoy getting egged…..

Seems to me, if Nate is doing this for all of them to go by, rhen he should create a rating that reflects his and Teddy’s likes.

I think my favorite candy bar (if I could eat candy bars) would be either Snickers or Baby Ruth. I remember when I was a kid, my favorite candy bar was called Zero. I also went through a Clark Bar phase.

Beat up someone that has opinions different that yours. That seems to be a common theme these days.

I’m with Francis. Even as a kid, I preferred carrots to candy, although I do like “Good & Plenty”s.

Not a big fan of how this arc turned out sadly. Started strong, then fell off pretty fast. Either way, the best candy in my opinion is Crunch.
