This one reminds of the Babylon 5 episode that follows the two maintenance guys around during an attack on the station.

Were the invading Insectoids led by a Preying Mantis?

IIRC there was a short lived comic book series titled “Damage Control” about a company that cleaned up the Marvel Universe. I think they were later bought by Tony Stank. Excelsior!!!!
