That’s a pretty clever solution for such a little girl.

Yesterday’s strip reminding me of Beetle Bailey when the first snow falls on Camp Swampy for the year.

Soldiers: It’s snowing! Let us get out there!

Killer is walking with a girl

Killer: This makes for the date, doesn’t it?

    Sgt. Snorkel sees the snowfall

Sarge: Mmm, time for hot chocolate!

General’s residence. He and wife are sitting by the fireplace

Mrs. Halftrack: Isn’t this so romantic, Amos?

Gen. Halftrack: Reminds me of when I courted you at the winter ball at West Point.

Guard house. Pvt. Bailey is on sentry duty and sees snow pile up around him

    Beetle: I hate snow.

When snow was scarce some years, I helped my kids build plenty of 1- and 2-foot-tall snowmen.

April’s snowman reminds me of the yard ornaments you can get that are the head and tail and a few bumps in between of an alligator. It looks like a gator swimming in your lawn.

She’s four and she’s mastered the use of lay vs. lye and I’m still not sure: lying is active and laying is rest, isn’t it?

April isn’t thinking outside of the box, it’s adults that box in their thinking.
