Is he really a cat lover? I am cautiously hopeful that he won’t turn out to be a RINO, that he’s a true conservative. I know he’s a professing Christian as well. So if he loves cats he has to be the next thing to perfect!

Believe it or not, this is not a christian country. It’s a country in which you can follow any religion the like including none.

These magas use their Christianity as a weapon to hate. The new Speaker has gone to great lengths to proclaim his hate for LGBTQ citizens and his wish to pass laws denying them their rights. The country is watching this maga clown show. I doubt they will be in power after the 2024 election.

I don’t like far right wingers, I don’t like self-righteous religious fanatics, I don’t like election deniers, I don’t like MAGA Trump worshippers, and I like dogs more than cats.

This idiot Mike Johnson is a climate change denier, an anti-abortion zealot, a MAGA moron… good choice for the Republican Party. Nice work. Now, let’s all return to 1953.

Many who profess to be Christians are in reality minions of Satan. Johnson is an election denier who appears to worship at the alter of Donald J. Trump! If he is serious about his Christianity, he should prayerfully contemplate Proverbs 6: 16-19. “Six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him.” All seven describe Trump!

Mike Johnson, an (perhaps less belligerent than Jimmie Gym) extremist RWNJ MAGA (and very overtly/proudly) Christian Nationalist.

A Christian theocracy is MJ’s preference for a specific form of autocracy to replace US Constitutional democracy. But if he can’t get that, he’ll 100% support any fascist (especially tRump — MJ is an avid trRumpie) whom conservatives might, given half a chance, place in the position of dictator of the former USA.

As part of an insurrection to overthrow the government, his vote against certifying an election was part of the insurrection, and should disqualify him, not put him in charge of the House.

Throw all the Repub bums out. Vote Democratic in 2024, up and down the ticket.

Not to worry, Varvel. Johnson will do whatever Your Messiah wants.

If he does not, he’ll be gone as quickly as Kevin.

I don’t understand this cartoon since “After weeks of disarray, the GOP demonstrated remarkable unity: All 220 Republicans cast their vote for Johnson, while all 209 Democrats voted for Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries of New York.” They know who & what this traitor is.

If the democrats in the blue cities around the country would follow a couple of the 10 Commandments, like Thou shall not murder, or thou shall not steal, the country would be in a better place. Instead, we are rushing headfirst into a banana republic. Thanks democrats.

It took 3 weeks for the Rethuglicans to agree between themselves on a speaker – the Dems aren’t the problem. This wack-a-doodle is an election denier who’s anti-abortion and anti-LGBTQ, which means he’s out of touch with the majority of his own constituency.

I didn’t even know about this Mike Johnson guy until he was made Speaker! That said, if he’s feeling 10 feet tall and bulletproof right now, it won’t last too long. The Democrats have the majority in the Senate, so any impeachment bills directed against Biden won’t get anywhere. Hopefully, he’ll have some sense and know that shutting down the government next month would be bad news for everyone.
