I, for one, appreciate Satchel’s poetry.
I think his poetry conveys his state of mind very well, poor boy.
Poet houseate? I guess he couldn’t make laureate.
“It mocks the very name of your pen, sir, for your writing is neither sharp nor will it be permanent.” Righteous Bovine, this could be the 2nd greatest phrase ever uttered by a cat!
That is actually pretty good poetry!
I like it, Satch!
Satchel…..If you didn’t do it, why do you look so guilty?
this gets the prize/
Denying a piece of paper its cosmic right could be one of the best writing critiques of all time. I will definitely reuse it. Way to go Darby!
Yes, Bucky is being Bucky. But the next to last panel demonstrates his skewed genius. I’m not sure how I feel about this new appreciation for him.
Bucky is a perfect example of the axion “Those can’t do, criticize.”

In panel 6, Bucky is downright eloquent!
Honestly, better than your average “professional” poet.
Hidden depths of guilt and shame. That’s poetry for ya!
His penmanship is much better than Bucky.
