I tried to propose to a woman on her lunch break at the office where she worked as a receptionist. I had driven all night to get there and was wearing an Arab outfit with a dancing sword (I was a belly dancer at the time – another story). I tried three times to get through the poetic declaration of my love and was interrupted by incoming voice calls which she automatically answered even though she was on lunch break .
I gave up. It took another week to figure out it was never going to happen. Well, you live and learn and then you leave. :)

I’d be surprised if that hasn’t happened at least once in recent years. Drop the ring, answer the ring.

The answer to his question should come easily. If she likes Jeopardy, it would be, “What is no!”

The modern world in a nutshell. He should have texted her; the new paradigm is never use voice and never never show up in person if you could text.
