Elly is still computer phobic after years of working in library. I suppose that’s what happens whenever someone tries to show you how to work the computer and your hair falls over your eyes so you can’t see what they are doing.

If so much info is in computers’ memories, why are there still those overstuffed file drawers?

From Lynn’s Comments: Yup. The buck stops at the front desk. There was a reason my dad never wanted me to handle the cash. I was much better at sales!

I worked retail for 5 years. I never learned how to use a cash register.

They put a few more keys since you used one of these. And where is the cents key?

IS that a computer? Or a cash register….

Wow! Today’s comic strip is showing its age! I can barely even remember the sound of the clickety clack of the cashier pushing the buttons on the cash register!

Nowadays they just slide the packages over a built in scanner and all you hear is the sound of the electronic beep.

My Honey got a smart phone 2 years ago, She loves to look at instagram & other things. But refuses to send or read a text and the GPS? On no, that’s not gonna happen.
