I’m shocked that she hasn’t had static electricity explained to her.

I have to try and remember not to touch my dog’s nose this time of year. He doesn’t really get a charge out of it.

Once lived in Antelope Valley, California. High desert. Dry as anywhere. Learned to touch things with a key or my pocket knife first. Often generated a spark of more than 1/8". Respectable snap.

It’s cold and dry out, so as I go around the house I quickly touch the corners of the wallboard and get several little shocks instead of a big one.

The portion of the house lit up by the “BLAM.” Love it!

The cats do not like this time of year because I will walk across the room just to give them a “boop” on the nose. ZZZZZAPPPP!

I was laughing so hard at this, with tears running down, that I had to stop and regain my composure just to comment!!! I just hope Mr. Thompson is looking down and enjoying my reaction. ❤️

I tend to get those skin cracks on my fingers, and it’s always just so much fun when I get a static shock that goes into one of those cracks…!!!!

Take it as a learning experience, Alice. It’s not Daddy; it’s not his socks. It’s you and your New Friend, static electricity!
