Those hats LOOK heavy, but I think some of them aren’t all that much heavier than a smaller but equally insulating hat.

That hat’s riding pretty high on the noggin.

Rabbinic people wear a lot of funny hats, that I’m pretty sure they didn’t wear back in the day.

I have seen similar hats on the Orthodox Jewish men during the recent Holy Day. Called a Shtreimel.

It’s cold enough to require that hat but Frazz doesn’t know it.

It sounds like Frazz never finishes in the top ten.

You can dust the blades on your ceiling fan by walking under it with that hat on.

Do hope that animal atop your head does NOT become incontinent!!

I came to the comments, section to find who Mister Peck was, but all I read was a whole bunch of hilarious comments.

So, the hat covers his dome but not his outliers. Ears don’t get a break.

On a different note, my sweet-blue eyed girl and I have just reached our 61st anniversary. Been a great train ride with lots of fun stops and occasional shunts to sidings for special times. Looking forward to more of the same.

I do not understand the last panel? I think it is because marathons have lots of participants, but only few winners? But then the term “top-heavy” still confuses me. Can anyone clarify?

I think he means lots of T shirts & water bottles or Geophyzz got it.

I saw a local activist on TV the other day that I mistook for having such a hat as that. But it was his hair. After I realized, I quit listening to his message, and was mesmerized by his coiffure. Probably not what he intended.

Takes a big hat to hide a dark and stormy cloud.

If you’ve ever see old B&W photos of indoor sporting events from the 1940s or 1950s, you’ll notice that almost all the men are wearing fedoras. Yes, indoors!
