When Charles Dickens wrote his first big novel, “The Pickwick Papers,” the publisher hired a well-known illustrator to provide pictures. However, they wanted the pictures to come first and Dickens was to write his story to fit what what illustrated. Except for a few instances, Dickens ignored the instructions and wrote his chapters (there were 57 in all, serialized over a two-year period) and the illustrator was compelled to draw according to the storyline. A much more successful arrangement.
So, Hammie, don’t try to force the story line with your drawings. Just let them hang on the fridge with all the others.

Hammie don’t you think, T-Rex would also need a Light Saber.

Yeah, but most kids won’t spot that until the last page.

Zoe merely provided tasteless criticisms, whereas Hammie graced his mother with glorious imagery for her book.
