That actually happened to me once, only it was a very expensive suit. They gave to someone else by mistake. I was practicing law at the time, but I didn’t threatened to sue them, tempted though I was. Fortunately, I did get it back, but it took a long time. The dry cleaners were Asians who had limited understanding of English names and spelling.
Nice of you not to sue knowing that they were limited in understanding English and great that you got it back. I do hope that there was an apology from botht he cleaner and the wrong recipient. At least it was returned.
