Iāve posted this story on a couple other comix since it happened. Apologies to those that have heard it, but it seems appropriate for today. ā¦..
I went ice skating on the lake across from my house on Christmas Day. Because of warm weather, the ice was glass smooth and not covered with snow as it usually is. Long story short, this 72 year old kid fell through the ice about 50 feet from shore where the water fortunately was just a little over waist high. I had my hockey stick and was so looking forward to skating. I was alone and saved myself. It wasnāt to hard to get back on top of the ice, but I had to āāelbowāā my way to shore. Iām pretty sure I looked like a walrus trying to beach itself.
I shouldnāt be horsing around like that at my age. Itās all your fault Horace!

You can cut down on the tears from slicing onions by rising the cut sides in cold water.
